Embroidered Wedding Photo

21 July 2017

It has been ten years since we got married in a catholic church in the Philippines. Although we got first married civilly here in Belgium a year before. I still remember all the preparations and delegation of a lot of stuff with my sister and BFF because I only stayed there for quite awhile. And now ten years has passed. So I thought of embroidering a gift for hubby but it seems like he discovered it while I was preparing for it because he and I shared our google photos and there was a notification on his side whenever I take photos, so there no longer a surprise. Anyway, what matters he likes the gift.

Embroidered Photo

27 June 2017

An embroidered photo gifts for my eldest daughters friends since they are all “graduating” primary. I ask an embroidery digitizer from www.etsy.com to have it digitized. My hoop size here is 6″ x 10″ and used a black Isacord embroidery thread. My machine have different number of speeds for stitching and in this case I used them all to speed up but at the beginning I do always use the slowest which is 350spm (175minutes) until I increased it as time goes by due to deadline purposes. The fabric that I used here is from Ikea – Minna, from my stash.

Sweatkleid “Bella” and “Chloe”

27 June 2017

I made a dress for my youngest daughter for her sisters’ primary “graduation”. I combined it with plain yellow fabric and grey fruity jersey. Next is my eldest daughters dress and of course it is for her “graduation”. A plain white jersey paired it with a decorative heart jersey fabrics. Both dresses are pattern of www.pattydoo.de. These are the existing jersey fabrics that I have because I used these also to their other clothing. Both are from my stash and bought at stoffenspektakel.

Summershorts “Flora”

24 June 2017

Summer just started recently, well the end of spring it was already hot so I consider it to be summer. I made this shorts Flora, pattern is from www.pattydoo.de. Since my eldest daughter has been asking for shorts so there she have one now in addition to what she was wearing already before. It is kind of exciting that I was able to sew clothing for my children or even hubby. The jeans was bought at Royal Tissus.

Damenshirt/Women’s shirt “Sara”

23 June 2017

My second Damenshirt/Women’s Shirt Sara, pattern is from www.pattydoo.de. Normally this is better with jersey fabric but in this case I experimented using a cotton fabric but it wasn’t a good idea since I am big on the tummy area, so if using cotton better if I am slim then it wouldn’t be a problem I guess. I combined it with an eyelet fabric yoke that is from my stash. Flowery fabric I bought it from a recent trip to Stoffenspektakel/Marché du Tissu here in Liège, as you can see it from this video.

Rosie Crossbody Bag

18 June 2017

My eldest daughter received a second hand phone from her father and so I have to make a bigger bag for her. On the first photo, this was her previous bag that she has been using since she received it last Christmas. So I used the same handle for this Rosie Crossbody Bag, pattern is from www.swoonpatterns.com. Actually I’ve cut these fabrics long time ago (1 Dec 2016) and it is now that I have decided to sew it and just the same time that it is called for. You may notice it is quite the same exterior fabric and accents like the one from Dollie Mini Crossbody which is also the pattern of www.swoonpatterns.com.

Moxie Crossbody Bag

14 June 2017

Yay my second Bag of the Month Club – April 2017. A Moxie Crossbody Bag, pattern is from Betz White. This bag is given to the classmate of my eldest daughter for their what they call “Cacahuète” wherein every student in the class have to pick up a paper with name on it and they have to give a gift for that certain person but everybody is not oblige to participate.

This gift is personalised. I used a striped jeans combined it with a paisley flowery fabric for the exterior and accent of the bag and as for the lining its a white flowers with a light green background of fabric. The striped jean fabric is from my stash and the paisley flowery fabric plus lining are bought from Royal Tissus. I made a mistake in cutting the exterior and lining fabric because both are in reverse compare to the picture shown on the pattern. But fortunately it just so happen that the person who will receive it puts her bag on the left side of her hip. And in this case I do not wrap the gift I just rolled it and tied is with a fabric.
